“Cherish those who seek the truth but beware of those who find it” Voltaire

When the faithful of any faith win, the doors are open to horrors ranging from Muslims killing Christians in Gojra, women being whipped for wearing trousers in Sudan, Sunnis blowing up dozens of Shias in Iraq, oppressive theocracies, reactionary social policies, prejudice against gays and women, pogroms against Jews, slaughter of kulaks, starvation of millions as a result of ideological nostrums – the litany seems endless.

Someone once said “by their works ye shall know them”.
Luke 6:45 (NIV)
45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Luke 6:46 (NIV)
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

Matthew 7:15 (KJV)
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 7:16 (KJV)
16Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Matthew 7:21 (NIV)
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’c will enter the kingdom of heaven,d but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.e
Matthew 7:22(NIV)
22 Many will say to me on that day,f ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’g
Matthew 7:23(NIV)
23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
