I love this one. A letter from the President of the United States, to his grandchildren.
I am very happy to find that two of you can write. I shall now expect that whenever it is inconvenient for your papa and mama to write, one of you will write on a piece of paper these words `all is well’ and send it for me to the post office. I am happy too that Miss Ellen can now read so readily.

What an effort, my dear Sir, of bigotry in Politics & Religion have we gone through! The barbarians really flattered themselves they should be able to bring back the times of Vandalism, when ignorance put everything into the hands of power & priestcraft. All advances in science were proscribed as innovations. They pretended to praise and encourage education, but it was to be the education of our ancestors.

“… The Gothic idea that we are to look backwards instead of forwards for the improvement of the human mind, and to recur to the annals of our ancestors for what is most perfect in government, in religion & in learning, is worthy of those bigots in religion & government, by whom it has been recommended, & whose purposes it would answer.

“… I am for freedom of religion, & against all maneuvres to bring about a legal ascendancy of one sect over another: for freedom of the press, & against all violations of the constitution to silence by force & not by reason the complaints or criticisms, just or unjust, of our citizens against the conduct of their agents.

“Why is Mitt Romney so confident? In states where the winner will be decided by less than 10%, of the vote he already knows he will win. This is no tinfoil hat conspiracy. It’s a maths problem. And mathematics showed changes in actual raw voting data that had no statistical correlation other than programmable computer fraud. This computer fraud resulted in votes being flipped from Democrat to Republican in every federal, senatorial, congressional and gubernatorial election since 2008 (thus far) and in the 2012 primary contests from other Republicans to Mitt Romney.

Obama blew it tonight. Romney was very convincing. For those who haven't been watching the campaign from the beginning Romney must have appeared reasonable, informed, and his ideas worth considering. Tonight was not just a screeching halt to his year long rush to the right, but a complete erasure of his "etch-a-sketch principles." Watch now as he starts "re-drawing" the Romney we saw when he was Governor of Mass.

There are 2 kinds of people in the world:  
One type are those who believe that the only purpose, the only reason, the only goal in life is the pursuite of the all-mighty dollar and that the only meaningful measure of success is the dollar and how much of it one can accumulate durring their lifetime.
The other type are those who believe that the purpose, the reason, the goal in life is to make life better and that the true measure of success is is wheather ones time on this earth has made it a better place to

As incredibly complex as is the human brain there are some species which have capabilities we humans lack.  For many insects the visible spectrum exceeds our own.  Some are able to see ultra-violet light.
