I used to be a Republican. There have been a lot of great Republicans; Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt , Dwight Eisenhower, the Rockefeller brothers. Hell, I even voted for Nixon in '68 (but don't tell anyone!) I even supported George, Mitt's father in '68 until he dropped out of the race. There were no "birthers" like Trump and the others today who claimed he was ineligible to be President because he was born in Mexico. And no "birthers" objected to McCain being President because he was born in Panama. But the Republicans started loosing me in '64 when they nominated Barry Goldwater and then they chose Reagan, GHW and GW and now they've scraped the bottom dregging up Mitt. If the Republicans wanted to get me and others like me back they would have had a better chance if they had nominated Ron Paul. At least I agree with a lot of his postions, just not his economic ideas.
